Donating hand sanitizers to HUP’s practical hospitals and some organizations located in Hanoi for COVID-19 prevention.

Aiming at joining hands with community to repel COVID-19 disease, on February 18th 2020, in the Council Hall, Hanoi University of Pharmacy donated 2,000 liters of hand sanitizers manufactured by HUP’s lecturers and technicians to 10 practical hospitals and some organizations located in Hanoi. ​

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Party Committee Secretary, Rector of HUP stated that in this acute respiratory syndrome epidemic, the need of face masks and hand sanitizers from the community and in health sector was huge. The lecturers of HUP enthusiastically and initiatively researched and manufactured hand sanitizers In compliance with standards of WHO adding the formulas of HUP to enhance the antiseptic ability, the scent and skin-protecting ability, etc.

Despite of tight budget, Hanoi University of Pharmacy with high responsibility for community Spent a sum of money from the welfare fund to purchase the chemicals, essential oils and additives used in its manufacture. However, there was a difficulty in our packaging. Therefore, we would like to ask for the support from enterprises, benefactors to supply materials source, packages in order to deal with the complicated changes of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Dr. Duong Duc Hung - Vice Director of Bach Mai Hospital, on behalf of organizations received hand sanitizers, gave a sincere thanks to HUP’s lecturers and officials for their contribution to preventing the disease. The gift from Hanoi University of Pharmacy is very humanistic and effective, raising the team-work spirit and the responsibility of medical staff for community.

The total number of hand sanitizers manufactured this time was 2,000 liters, of which Hanoi University of Pharmacy gave to organizations located in Phan Chu Trinh Ward and Dong Nhan Ward including Vietnam News Agency, The People’s Committees of Phan Chu Trinh and Dong Nhan ward, Police station of Phan Chu Trinh and Dong Nhan ward, Health Center of Phan Chu Trinh and Dong Nhan ward, Phan Chu Trinh Kindergarten B and hospitals including Bach Mai Hospital, 108 Military Central Hosptial, Viet Xo Friendship Hospital, Vietnam National Children’s Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital, HMU Hospital, Duc Giang hospital, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital, Thanh Nhan Hospital. Also, Hanoi University of Pharmacy delivered hand sanitizers to all officials, lecturers, technicians and students in HUP to enhance the disease prevention.​
