Welcome the delegation of National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore

On the morning of March 22nd, 2023, the delegation of Singapore National University of Singapore, Singapore led by Prof. Dr. Paul Gallagher, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Pharmacy paid a working visit to Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore was established in 1905 with the predecessor of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy. NUS has now become the No. 1 general university in Singapore, one of the leading universities in Asia and in the top 100 best universities in the world, providing multidisciplinary training programs in all fields with strengths in civil engineering, architecture, computer science and information systems, medicine, law, business... and is the only pharmacy training school in the country. According to QS ranking 2022, the National University of Singapore is ranked first in Asia and 12th in the world in the field of pharmacy and pharmacology. The university's current student population is 38,000 students from 100 countries around the world.

At the reception, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam, Rector agreed with some cooperation directions in the coming period: (1) Cooperation in training: Implement a program to exchange lecturers and students for study or research; (2) Regarding scientific research: joint research cooperation according to both sides' orientation; (3) Cooperation in clinical pharmacy training, improving the capacity of lecturers and visiting lecturers in training "experts - in the field of pharmaceutical care" (Recidency program)

The knowledge sharing session was held in the afternoon of the same day with the topic "Overview of scientific research and pharmacy training activities at the National University of Singapore" and "integrated approach in the management of atopic dermatitis". Nearly 60 students and lecturers of Hanoi University of Pharmacy to attend this symposium. The master training and exchange program with a duration of 1-2 semesters was also introduced by NUS experts to the students with the desire to strengthen the student exchange program of the two schools in the coming period.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Paul Gallagher thanked Hanoi University of Pharmacy for the warm welcome and hoped that cooperation between the two sides in training and scientific research would be strengthened in the coming period.
