Welcome the delegation from Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Corp.

On November 21th 2017, as new Chief Executive Officer of Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Corp. (CKD), Mr. Lee Kisu together with some leaders of its company paid a working visit to Ha Noi University of Pharmacy to look for opportunities to expand cooperation with HUP.

Attending the meeting, for HUP side,there were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Responsible and Executive Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thi Thanh Hai -Vice Rector, MA. Dinh Thi Hien Van- Head of International Relations Department and MSc. Nguyen Thi Linh Ha- official of International Relations Department.
Korean Pharmaceutial Company Chong Kun Dang Pharm (CKD) is the organisation funding Kochon Foundation scholarships annually for HUP’s excellent students and poor students who overcome the difficulties. Since the academic year 2014-2015, more than 40 scholarships worth over 400 million VND have been awarded to HUP students. CKD scholarshipis adjusted to the annual tuition fee of Ha Noi University of Pharmacy. The difference between its scholarship and others provided to HUP students is the 5th year students receiving Kochon scholarship will have chance to join the cultural exchange course in Korea organized every summer.In additions, this scholarship program also supports candidates who meet all the requirements to take master and PhD course in Korea university.
After listening to overview of HUP and discussing the opportunities for bilateral cooperation especially related to the technology services that HUP can provide such as BE, BA, clinical trials, the delegation visited Department of Pharmaconogy and National Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology. Here, the delegation was introduced about the equipment and machines in use to get the idea in the proposal for cooperation later.
At the end of the visit, on behalf of HUP directorate board, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Dinh Thi Thanh Hai coveyed her sincere thanks to CKD Pharmaceutical Corp. for remarkable support to HUP during the last years. Also, on behalf of the CKD delegation, Mr. Lee Kisu thanked HUP for the warm welcome and hoped both sides will expand the cooperation in the near future.
