The visit of World Health Organization (WHO) delegation to Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

In the morning of October 5th, 2017, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh welcomed World Health Organization (WHO) delegation led by Dr. Momoe Takeuchi, Coordinator ofHealth Systems Development Team at WHO Office in Viet Namto Hanoi University of Pharmacy. Accompanying with Dr. Momoe Takeuchi, there were Dr. Nihal Singh and Dr. Makiko Lijima, technical consultants of the World Health Organization.

Attending the meeting, for HUP side, there were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh-Responsible and Executive Vice Rector together with MA. Dinh Thi Hien Van - Head of International Relations Dep., Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Chien - Director, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, Dr. Do Xuan Thang - Responsible of Department of Chemical & Equipment supply, Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Huong - Deputy Head, Dep. of Pharmacoeconomics, Assoc. Nguyen Hoang Anh - Responsible Deputy Director of National DI and ADR Monitoring Center, MSc. Vo Thi Thu Thuy - Deputy Director of National DI and ADR Monitoring Center and MSc. Nguyen Thi Linh Ha - specialist of Inter’l Relations Dep.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh appreciated the close cooperation and effective support from World Health Organization to HUP during the past few years. On behalf of WHO, Dr. Momoe shared and updated information related to WHO's priorities in the coming period. On behalf of HUP, the participants also introduced and answered questions from the delegation on training activities, scientific research, information related to pharmacovigilance (especially the vaccine field) as well as the role of National DI and ADR Monitoring Center, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology and HUP in the health system in Vietnam.
Based on the priority orientations of the 2018-2019 plan currently developed by the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health, HUP presents its aspiration and expectation that WHO will consider two proposals for remaining budget for 2016-2017 and propose 07 ideas for the new biennium2018 - 2019.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation of the World Health Organization visited the National DI and ADR Monitoring Center, which received the considerable technical and financial supports from the World Health Organization in establishing the center, in building and strengthening the capacity of the drug information and ADR system in Vietnam.
