PREPARATION OF MEDICINES IN HOSPITAL: FROM BASIC PRINCIPLES TO PRACTICE IMPLEMENTATION
During 2 days (June 5-6, 2023), Hanoi University of Pharmacy in collaboration with Yang Ming Chiao Tung National University, Taiwan to organize a training course "Preparation of medicines in hospitals: from basic principles to practice implementation” via online and onsite for more than 30 hospital pharmacists working in medical units across the country.
National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, (NYCU) is a traditional partner of Hanoi University of Pharmacy in scientific research cooperation and strengthening educational integration in the region. The training program is richly designed with theoretical contents and practice at Hanoi University of Pharmacy and field visits at Vinmec Hospital.
Dr. Shao Chiang (Dept. of Pharmacy, NYCU); Pharmacist Chia-Chun Huang (Dept. of Pharmacy, Mackay Memorial Hospital, Tai-Dong, Taiwan) and Dr. Pham Bao Tung (Dept. of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, HUP) were lecturers. In addition, the course also has the participation in online teaching of many other Taiwanese scientists such as Pharmacist Shelley Mei-Chun Liu and Pharmacist Chia-Chun Huang (Dept. of Pharmacy, Mackay Memorial Hospital, Hsin-Chu); Pharmacist Hsin-Pei Chan and Pei-Yu Li (Dept of Pharmacy, Koo Foundation Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center).
Dr. Anya Man-Yu Lin (Dean of Dept. of Pharmacy, University of Pharmaceutical Sciences, NYCU) gave opening speech and for HUP side, Assoc. Prof. PhD. Vu Thi Thu Giang (In charge of the Dept. of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology) highly appreciated the cooperation between the two universities in recent times. Hopefully, this course will help update knowledge and improve professional pharmacy practice capacity for hospital pharmacists, especially pharmacists in charge of medicines preparation at the hospital. Hanoi University of Pharmacy also hopes that in the future, it will continue to promote cooperation in scientific research and training between NYCU and HUP in the coming time.
