CME Conference on Clinical Teaching Methods in Pharmacy Practice Training: Experiences from Universities Worldwide

On November 10th, 2023, within the framework of the AFPS 2023 Conference and its side-events, Hanoi University of Pharmacy successfully organized a satellite conference titled 'Clinical Teaching Methods in Pharmacy Practice Training: Experiences from Universities Worldwide.

The conference took place on November 10th, 2023, with  the participation of nearly 80 delegates, including lecturers and preceptors from various universities and hospitals across the country. This event was held in both onsite and online at Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

During the conference, delegates had the opportunity to share and update their knowledge through presentations by leading clinical pharmacy experts from both domestic such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Faculty of Pharmacology & Clinical Pharmacy, HUP as well as international universities such as Prof. Dr. Alan Lau, Director of International Affairs and his colleagues from University of Illinois Chicago, USA; Prof. Dr. Paul John Gallagher - Deputy Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department, University of Singapore, Singapore; and Prof. Dr. Surakit Nathisuwan, Dean of the Pharmacy Department, Mahidol University, Thailand.

In the opening speech at the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thi Thanh Hai, Vice-Rector, on behalf of the leadership of the Hanoi University of Pharmacy, warmly welcomed and expressed gratitude to the presenters and delegates from the University of Illinois Chicago, USA, National University of Singapore and Mahidol University, Thailand, as well as the delegates from various universities and hospitals nationwide. She stated, 'With the gradual integration goal in education, the workshop on 'Clinical Teaching Methods in Pharmacy Practice Training - Experiences from Universities Worldwide' is one in a series of activities aimed at enhancing the capacity of practical training and professional practice. This is the direction that Hanoi University of Pharmacy and pharmaceutical training universities nationwide are striving for," expressing hope for strengthened collaboration in the coming period to improve the quality of education and educational integration.

At the end of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Thuy Van, Deputy Head of Faculty of Pharmacology & Clinical Pharmacy, HUP on behalf of the Hanoi University of Pharmacy, expressed gratitude for the participation and information sharing from all the delegates attending the workshop ‘Clinical Teaching Methods in Pharmacy Practice: Sharing Experiences from Universities Worldwide’. She confirmed that the participation and insights shared by the delegates significantly contributed to the success of the workshop.
