Welcome the delegation of Seoul National University Hospital, Korea

On the afternoon of April 17, 2024, within the framework of a working visit with the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Prof. Dr. SeungHwan Lee, from the Clinical Trial Center and the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH), South Korea, paid a working visit to Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

Welcoming the delegation, on behalf of the University, were Dr. Dang Viet Hung, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Tuyen, Vice Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thuy Van, Head of the Faculty of Pharmacology - Clinical Pharmacy; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Lecturer of the Faculty of Pharmacology - Clinical Pharmacy; and MA. Dinh Thi Hien Van, Deputy Head of the Department of Science Technology and Cooperation Development.

At the meeting, Prof. Lee introduced Seoul National University Hospital, Korea, and the Clinical Trials Center, SNUH, and expressed his interest in finding opportunities to collaborate with organizations interested in this field in Vietnam. Seoul National University Hospital is a leading medical center, belonging to the branch of the Faculty of Medicine of Seoul National University. The hospital boasts a team of 128 medical staff, including professors, doctors, pharmacists, nurses, etc., who are highly trained and equipped with the latest technological advancements. Seoul National University Hospital has played a key role in leading medical and healthcare facilities not only domestically but also internationally. The Clinical Trial Center of the Hospital, with 67 beds, 2 intensive care units, and 1 sterile injection room, has conducted and participated in numerous clinical trials for multinational and Korean pharmaceutical companies.

After listening to the introduction of Hanoi University of Pharmacy by MA. Dinh Thi Hien Van, Deputy Head of the Department of Science Technology and Cooperation Development, the two sides discussed and explored opportunities for cooperation in scientific research, lecturer and student exchange, and collaboration in building and implementing clinical trial studies in the coming time. At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Seung Hwan Lee thanked Hanoi University of Pharmacy for the warm welcome and expressed hope that the cooperation between the two sides in training and scientific research would be strengthened in the future.
