Welcome the delegation from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan
On the morning of 27th February, 2024, the delegation from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan led by Pror. Dr. Huang Chi Ying, Associate Dean of the College of Pharmacy, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan paid a working visit to Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan is one of among partners of Hanoi University of Pharmacy, has signed MOU since 2018, is one of the highly ranked universities in Taiwan in terms of research and high quality university education. Yang Ming University and Chiao Tung University were officially merged into “National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University” (NYCU) since February 1st, 2021. Yang Ming University, which focuses on biomedical researches, and Chiao Tung University, which focuses on in electronic media studies, are all top universities in Taiwan. With total of 1,400 lecturers and 17,000 students try to work together closely to form and develop a newexcellent generation, NYCU will further develop and enhance the healthcare industry which is emerging smart in Taiwan.
During the period 2018-2022, based on the MOU between bothof universities, many activities has been implemented such as 25 lecturers/staffs of HUP has visited NYCU for exchange and cooperation with the aim of improving training capacity; 06 graduate students and postgraduate students has participated in short-term research training courses, workshop, working visit at this university. The coordination in conducting research, co-publishing international articles and organizing scientific conferences and training classes has contributed to strengthening integration for Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam, Rector, representative of Hanoi University of Pharmacy, brief the results of cooperation between both universities during the past years, especially in the fields of lecturer and student exchange and scientific research cooperation. With the desire to develop the cooperative relationship with National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University into a strategic partner, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam agreed on a number of cooperation directions in the coming period in co-instructing, implementing joint research projects, improving research capacity and exchanging lecturers and students between the two universities.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Huang Chi Ying thanked Hanoi University of Pharmacy for the hospitality and hoped that cooperation between the two parties in exchanging lecturers, students and scientific research cooperation would be strengthened in the coming period.
