The Launching of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology
Implementation of Decision-1043/QD-BYT- dated 08/04/2011 by the Minister of Health regarding the establishment of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology under Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
April 6, 2012, the Hanoi University of Pharmacy celebrated the launching of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology. Attending the launching ceremony, there were Mr. Cao Minh Quang, Vice Minister of Health, representatives from the WHO, other international organizations, embassies, other departments of the Ministry of Health; Ministry of Science & Technology, the Institutes, Universities, and Pharmaceutical companies. Toward HUP, there were Asso,Prof. Dr. Thai Nguyen Hung Thu - Vice Rector,Asso, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dang Hoa - Vice Rector, Asso. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Vice Rector and all Heads of offices, departments and staff of the Institute.
On behalf of the Ministry of Health Mr. Cao Minh Quang, Vice Minister issued the Decision on the establishment the Institute and the Decision on the appointment of Director and Deputy Director. Asso, Prof. Dr. Thai Nguyen Hung Thu- Vice Rector - was appointed Director and Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Chien was appointed Deputy Director. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Cao Minh Quang said the establishment of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology was urgent. The Institute was established to implement the main function: researching, training, cooperating on pharmaceutical technology and transferring pharmaceutical technology to overcome the limitations of the national pharmaceutical industry. With 4 functions, 11 tasks assigned by the Health Ministry in 2012 and stabilizing the Institute gradually in operation, Vice Minister requires school leaders to direct the Institute to soon stabilize the organizational structure, staff, making regulations, projects,and making funds for the Institute to implement the assigned functions and duties.
Asso,Prof. Dr. Thai Nguyen Hung Thu- Director on behalf of the Institute made presentation on the orientation of the activities and development. The Institute’s oriented activities and development were divided into three periods:
- 2012-2015, gradually setting up organizational structure and implementing the Institute’s activities, focusing on preparation facilities and human resources stability to implement the tasks.
- 2016-2020, summarizing the first period implementation, continuing to expand and improve the performance of the Institute.
- After 2020, continuing to improve, asserting the institute position to develop at a high level.
Institute leaders are looking forward to facilitating the interest of the departments of the Ministry of Health and the Hanoi University of Pharmacy, the coordination and cooperation of the international and domestic institutes, universities, pharmaceutical companies for National Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology to fulfill the assigned tasks.
