The 2nd Mekong Pharma Master course Graduation Ceremony (2013 - 2015)

In the afternoon of 26th October 2015, Ha Noi University of Pharmacy in collaboration with Pierre Fabre Foundation and the Embassy of France in Vietnam held a Masters of Pharmacy awarding ceremony issued by the University of Paris Descartes and University of Toulouse Paul Sabatier for students in 2nd master course ( 2013 -2015 )- a joint training program to grant Mekong Pharma Master Degree.

Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dang Hoa - Rector; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice-Rector; Mr. Alain Dorie - Medical attaché Embassy of France in Vietnam; Ms Beatrice Garette - CEO and Ms. Florence Delcher - Coordinator of Pierre Fabre Foundation programs; Ms Le Thi Minh Hong-representative of Francophone Universities (AUF); students of 3rd Mekong Pharma master course who currently studying in school as well as lecturers of this program.

The curriculum of MekongPharma training program has received financial support from Pierre Fabre Foundation aiming to train pharmacists at Master level for three Indochinese countries consists of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia with coordination from University of Paris Descartes, University AIX- Marseille, Toulouse Paul Sabatier University and Hanoi University of Pharmacy.

Enrolling in the 2nd course, there was 6 Vietnamese students among 12 students of the course. In the first year, the students studied 15 subjects in Phnom Penh - Cambodia. In the second year, the subjects were divided into 2 professional subjects consists of Testing and Drug Quality Assurance which was taught in Vietnam and Community Pharmacy Professional was taught in Laos. After 2 years studying, under the instruction of France trainers, all Vietnamese students has successfully completed the training program and received degree issued by France universities. Especially, 2 Vietnamese among students who having the highest point were going to practice in France for 6 months.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dang Hoa - Rector thanked the participation and generous support of our partners for the program. Although the number of students attending courses haven't increased recently but the training quality has improved. Some trainers from Asian countries has been invited as tutors and contributed their capacities in the field of implementation/organization on postgraduate teaching programs to catch up the international standards. I believe that, in the future, there will have many good students to enroll this course  and Vietnamese lecturers can be able to undertake entirely of training program.
Ms Beatrice Garette - Pierre Fabre Foundation CEO - highly appreciate the meaning and results of the program which appropriate as the fund expected.It is hounour for graduates to be awarded degree by Mr. Alain Dorie - medical attaché Embassy of France in Vietnam.
Nghiem Thi Thuy Linh,a master student - on behalf of students receiving degree made speech to thank the France Universities and the three Indochinese countries, thanked the Pierre Fabre Foundation, Ambassador French restaurant, AUF and also said that this course provided the students the latest knowledge from the leading French universities on Pharmacy.
The success of the course is not only to train the leading pharmacy profession but also to create the bridge for pharmacists among three Indochinese countries. The Pierre Fabre Foundation open continuously the training courses to contribute to the community as its initial goals.​
