Hanoi University of Pharmacy sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Republic of Indonesia Defense University
On the morning of April 29, 2024, at the Hall Conference, Hanoi University of Pharmacy held a ceremony to receive the delegation of the Republic of Indonesia Defense University to visit, work and sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Hanoi University of Pharmacy and the Republic of Indonesia Defense University.
Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the Republic of Indonesia Defense University (RIDU), were Major General, Dr. Ir. Susilo Adi Purwantoro, Vice Rector of the Republic of Indonesia Defense University; Prof. Dr. apt. Yahdiana Harahap, M.S. (Dean of the Faculty of Military Pharmacy, RIDU); and representatives from the Indonesian Embassy. Lt. General Jonni Mahroza, Ph.D., Rector of the Republic of Indonesia Defense University, was unable to attend the signing ceremony for special reasons and sent his greetings to the leaders of Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
On behalf of Hanoi University of Pharmacy, were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam, Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Quyen, Head of the Department of Science Technology - Cooperation Development; MA. Dinh Thi Hien Van, Deputy Head of the Department of Science Technology - Cooperation Development; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuan, Senior Lecturer; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hong Quang, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs; Ph.D. Pham Tuan Anh, Lecturer of the Faculty of Pharmacognosy - Traditional Medicine; and many staff and lecturers from the faculties of Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
On behalf of Hanoi University of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam delivered a speech to welcome the delegation from the Republic of Indonesia Defense University for their visit, working session, and attendance at the signing ceremony of the MOU between Hanoi University of Pharmacy and the Republic of Indonesia Defense University. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam highly commended the Republic of Indonesia Defense University as a leading university in the field of defense science, with particular strengths in health sciences, especially pharmaceutical science. Hanoi University of Pharmacy is also the only university in Vietnam specializing in pharmacy training and research. He expressed his hope that the two universities would engage in comprehensive cooperation in the fields of student exchange, lecturer exchange, research collaboration, joint international publications, and the co-organization of international conferences and seminars in the field of pharmacy training and research.
It is anticipated that in the summer semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, the Republic of Indonesia Defense University will welcome a delegation of students from Hanoi University of Pharmacy for an exchange program and studies at RIDU. Students will have the opportunity to study at the University's Jakarta campus and visit and study at other practice sites in renowned cities throughout Indonesia. Furthermore, Hanoi University of Pharmacy will also welcome students from RIDU for study and exchange programs at HUP.
