HUP welcomed the expert delegation of the project “ Joint capacity building in biomedical higher education through adopting international academic standards and transferring technology between European and Vietnam universities (EDUSHARE)

The project Joint capacity building in biomedical higher education through adopting international academic standards and transferring technology between European and Vietnam universities (EDUSHARE) was approved and financed by EU Erasmus+.The overall objective of the project is that with the help of European colleagues, Vietnamese universities will have the capacity to provide higher education and training to future healthcare professionals who contribute to improving the health of the local people with their high quality knowledge and skills and by that fill a significant gap in the labour market.

Attending the meeting, from Ha Noi University of Pharmacy there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dang Hoa - Rector, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Chien – Deputy Director of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology; MA. Dinh Thi Hien Van - Head of International Relations Department. From the European partners there were Professors come from the University of Tartu (Estonia) –as a lead university, University of Ernst - Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald (Germany), University of Essex (UK), Karolinska Institute (Sweden) and ScanBalt organization. On behalf of HUP staff, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dang Hoa warmly welcomed the participants from the European universities, introduced briefly about Ha Noi University of Pharmacy and also answered professors ‘questions relating to HUP training programs, activities of scientific research and the way of multilateral cooperation, bilateral between the parties in the coming period.
Before this meeting, on 28th and 29 th of November 2016, Hanoi University of Pharmacy also attended the Kick-off ceremony of the EDUSHARE project which was held at the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. After the official project kick-off ceremony, international and Vietnam partners have various parallel sessions to discuss Project overview: objectives, expected outcomes and activities; Project management: legal, coordination and financial aspects, the contents and workplan of project, tasks for the partners in the 1st year of project, to agree upon accreditation, the overall curriculum, the modules, list of courses and competences required for each course,  and Network building with Laboratory based team and with Clinical based team.

This project will contribute to enhance the capacity of teaching and infrastructure to serve for science research activities at training universities in Vietnam via training on teaching skills and technical support and at the same time, to improve the quality of the training universities in Vietnam and build the advanced PhD training programs on biomedical.
