The Master Mekong Pharma
THE MASTER MEKONG PHARMA is a two-year term of postgraduate education, delivered in Southeast Asia, taught in the French language by professors from French universities.
It opens the way for professionals to work in various agencies, including control laboratories, medical drug agencies, central government branches, hospitals, research laboratories, universities, pharmaceutical and agrifood industries,
Its main target: Pharmacists holding degrees from the universities of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. It leads them to the French Master’s 2 degree, which enjoys international recognition.
That training is an opportunity for participants to integrate a sound, world-class network of medical drug specialists.
Students enrolled in the upgrade year or for the Master’s 2 program receive a scholarship provided with the support of the Pierre Fabre Foundation, French Cooperation, and the Francophone University Agency (AUF).
THE CURRICULUM:
UPGRADE YEAR
Joint education for all students (15 teaching units).Taken at the University of Health Sciences in Cambodia (2016–2017) and the University of Health Sciences in Laos (2017–2018). Its purpose is to reinforce and harmonize the general skills of the students in the field of medical drugs. Approaches to chemistry (pharmacochemistry) and biology (pharmacology), as well as general knowledge, are worked into this training segment. Direct integration into one of the Master Mekong Pharma majors is possible after taking a Master’s 2 entrance examination sponsored by those in charge of the French master’s degree.
MASTER 2
3 to 4 months of theory lessons and hands-on courses + 6 months of internship validated by a thesis.
MAJOR 1: QUALITY OF MEDICATION
Diploma issued by the Paris Descartes University. Courses delivered in Vietnam at the Hanoi University of Pharmacy. The training puts students in line to get their Master’s 2 degree in medical drug sciences, specializing in “quality of healthcare products.”
MAJOR 2: CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY
Diploma issued by the Toulouse III Paul Sabatier University. Courses delivered in Vientiane, at the University of Health Sciences of Laos. The training puts students in line to get their Master’s 2 degree in health biology, “pharmacological innovation and medical drug positions” program.
MAJOR 3: PHARMACEUTICAL DEVELOPMENT OF NANOMEDICINES
Diploma issued by the University of Angers. Courses delivered at the Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University. The training puts students in line to get the Master’s 2 degree in medical drug sciences, specializing in “innovation and transfer,” nanomedicines program.
