The Department of quality assurance and assessment at Hanoi University of Pharmacy (HUP) originated from its predecessor, the Office of Examination and Quality Accreditation, which was established on May 20, 2009, under Decision No. 182/QĐ-DHN issued by the Rector. Its establishment marked a significant milestone in the University’s ongoing efforts to reform higher education, promoting autonomy and accountability for academic quality.
On May 5, 2020, to more accurately reflect its expanded functions and developmental orientation, the Office was officially renamed the “Department of quality assurance and assessment” under Decision No. 288/QĐ-DHN by the Rector of Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
This transformation embodies the University’s strategic vision in quality management and reaffirms its strong commitment to fostering a quality culture, ensuring sustainable development and the continuous enhancement of academic reputation.
Currently, the Department has 08 staff members, including 01 Associate Professor, 01 PhD, 04 MScs, 02 Pharmacists.
Quality Assurance Activities:
- Comprehensive QA documents established: QA Policy, Regulations, Strategy, Plans, and QA Handbook.
- Annual QA Council established; QA networks strengthened at faculty and unit levels.
- In December 2022: Successfully completed the second-cycle institutional accreditation, achieving high results across all criteria (scores ranging from 4.17 to 4.60).
- 2021–2025 Plan: Evaluation of 08 programmes (including 01 Undergraduate Programme in Pharmacy according to AUN-QA standards, and 07 Master Programmes in line with MOET standards.
