1. Call for applications for Institutional Links grant April 2018
Newton Institutional Links aims to build UK-partner country research and innovation collaborations centred on shared research and innovation challenges which have direct relevance to social welfare and economic development. These grants are funded under the Newton Fund, a UK Government initiative funded by the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), together with partner funders from around the world.
  • Size of grant: £50,000 - £150,000
  • Priority areas: (i) Future cities, (ii) Digital, innovation and creativity, and (iii) Agriculture
  • Duration of grants: up to 24 months
  • ODA requirement: relevance to economic development or social welfare
  • Apply online by 8 June 2018, 1600 UK time.

  • Participants: academic researchers from UK and Vietnam research institutions or universities, and NGOs, government agencies, industry and other civil society organisations

  • Vietnam coordinator: Dr Nguyen-Son Vo, Duy Tan University, Danang, Vietnam
  • Discipline: Internet of Things, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, and different disciplines like Agriculture and Environment
  • All related costs including: travel, accommodation, meals and visa will be covered
  • Deadline for application: 25 May 2018.
