Welcome the delegation of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, Thailand to Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
Within the framework of cooperation between Mahidol University, Thailand, and Hanoi University of Pharmacy, on the afternoon of April 17, 2024, a delegation from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, Thailand, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bromboj Pruthiwanasan, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Training, visited Hanoi University of Pharmacy for a working visit and information-sharing session on the training programs of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, Thailand, with lecturers, staff, and students.
With more than 130 years of establishment and development, Mahidol University (Thailand) has become a symbol of the development and quality of education in Southeast Asia, boasting diverse training programs, modern facilities, and experienced lecturers. Mahidol University currently comprises 10 faculties, 8 institutes, 5 colleges, and 3 centers. Among these, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, with three areas of expertise: Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Economic Management, and Clinical Pharmacy, is highly regarded. The faculty not only trains professional majors but also focuses on research and development, with international cooperation projects and innovative initiatives such as the Center for Medicinal Information and the Center for Pharmaceutical Quality Analysis. Mahidol University and its Faculty of Pharmacy have been making significant contributions to the development of the healthcare industry in general and the pharmacy industry in Thailand and worldwide.
Welcoming the delegation, on behalf of the University, were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thi Thanh Hai, Vice Rector, along with representatives from the Faculty of Pharmacology - Clinical Pharmacy, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Management and Economics, the Faculty of Biotechnology, and the Department of Science Technology – Cooperation Development. At the meeting, on behalf of the University's leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thi Thanh Hai, Vice Rector, warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed hope for continued long-term cooperation between the two institutions. Subsequently, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bromj Pruthiwanasan presented an overview of the general training programs at Mahidol University, Thailand, followed by brief presentations on specific programs such as "Graduate Studies at @MUPY"; "Future of Clinical Pharmacy: A MS/PhD Program Introduction"; "Social, Economic and Administrative Pharmacy (SAEP) Graduate Program"; and the "Master of Science Program in Biopharmaceutical Science," delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bromj Pruthiwanasan, Dr. Jennis Meanwatthana, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krisada Sakchaisri, who are the respective Directors/Managers.
The faculty members from both universities engaged in discussions regarding undergraduate and postgraduate training programs, including master's and doctoral programs for international students, particularly those from Hanoi University of Pharmacy interested in studying at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, Thailand. They also explored opportunities for cooperation and agreed on several areas for collaboration in practical training and scientific research.
In addition to the reception by the University's leadership, the delegation also met with students, sharing information about undergraduate and postgraduate study programs currently offered and planned for the future at Mahidol University, highlighting scholarships and other advantages available to international students. This provided Hanoi University of Pharmacy students with valuable insights into outstanding pharmacy training and practice programs at Mahidol University, Thailand. The sharing session offered all attending students an overview of pharmacy training programs in Thailand, enabling them to make informed decisions and prepare accordingly. The students demonstrated initiative, confidence, and eagerness to learn throughout the meeting, receiving high praise from the lecturers and leaving a positive impression on their international counterparts.
The visit of the delegation from Mahidol University, Thailand marks a new chapter in cooperative activities between the two institutions, contributing to Hanoi University of Pharmacy's efforts to enhance its integration in training and scientific research.
