Welcome the delegation from University of Tartu, Estonia
On the morning of May 2, 2024, a delegation from the University of Tartu, Estonia, including Ms. Kerge Kristi, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Diplomatic Protocol, and Ms. Vilimaa-Pennerun Karrolina, Officer of the Department of International Cooperation and Diplomatic Protocol and Coordinator of the Erasmus+ Program, paid a working visit to Hanoi University of Pharmacy.
At the meeting, MA Dinh Thi Hien Van, Deputy Head of the Department of Science Technology - Cooperation Development, presented the history of cooperation between the two universities in recent years. The University of Tartu, Estonia, has been one of the partners of Hanoi University of Pharmacy since 2016 within the framework of the Edushare Program 2016-2020, a collaborative initiative involving five Vietnamese universities and seven partner universities from European countries in the field of biomedical training. In the period from 2022 to 2024, the two Universities continued their cooperation under the Memorandum of Understanding within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program and achieved several notable results: the two sides have conducted lecturer and staff exchange activities, jointly organized a number of symposiums, and Hanoi University of Pharmacy had the honor of inviting Prof. Ain Raal, former Director of the Institute of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine, University of Tartu, Estonia, as a guest speaker at the AFPS 2023 Asian Pharmaceutical Science Conference. Ms. Kerge Kristi, representing the University of Tartu, Estonia, expressed her hope that this visit would open a new chapter in cooperative activities between the two institutions in the coming period.
At the reception, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam, Rector of Hanoi University of Pharmacy, on behalf of the University, thanked the delegation from the University of Tartu, Estonia for visiting and exploring potential avenues for cooperation between the two sides. He expressed a strong desire to foster collaborative opportunities in both education and research. At the conclusion of the reception, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam presented souvenirs and posed for photographs on behalf of the University. Both parties discussed the proposed areas of cooperation and expressed their intention to deepen their collaboration in the future.
