Welcome the delegation from the University of Illinois, Chicago, USA
On the 11st, 17th and 18th of July, 2023, Hanoi University of Pharmacy (HUP) welcomed Prof. Alan Lau, Director of External Relations, University of Illinois, Chicago, USA (UIC) who paid a working visit to our university.
Receiving the delegation, for the HUP side, there were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam, Rector and representatives of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology; Department of Science Technology - Cooperation Development; Faculty of Pharmaceutical Economics Management and Faculty of Pharmacology - Clinical Pharmacy.
At the meeting, both sides has reviewed and evaluated the results of cooperation between two universities in the past period as well as discussed some contents hope to be implemented in the coming period: (1) To update the information related to programs and organization plan of the AFPS Conference. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam acknowledged and desired to have more UIC lecturers/students to participate to AFPS 2023 Conference. (2) To coordinate in developing proposals and seeking opportunities for cooperation in the field of “pharmaceutical practice”. (3) To cooperate in training and scientific research on technical support and experiences sharing through continuous training courses for hospital pharmacists and community pharmacists as well as the elective courses for HUP students.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Alan Lau expressed his deeply thanks to HUP for the hospitality and expect these approval contents would soon be implemented in the coming time.
