HUP delegation paid a working visit to universities, institutes, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies in Taiwan

​Receiving the invitation of National Yang Ming University (NYM), Taiwan, from 16th to 21st of July, 2018, the delegation of Hanoi University of Pharmacy headed by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh-Rector paid a working visit to universities, institutes, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies in Taiwan such as National Yang Ming University, Sinica Veterans Memorial Hospital, Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, Everest Pharmaceutical Company and Orient Pharmacy EuroPharma Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

​The delegation had a meaningful working session which could be applied and implemented for HUP in training, scientific research and international cooperation. During the trip, these universities, institutes, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies in Taiwan also provided some proposals to HUP such as: deploying to send students to hospitals and pharmaceutical companies in Taiwan for practice; nominating the young lecturers at master level to join short training courses on clinical pharmacy, drug use consultancy in Taiwan; participating in teaching exchange programs between two parties; co-organizing the scientific seminars/workshops and developing thesis co-advisors program. In addition, the delegation also met and worked with the Vice Minister of Science and Technology of Taiwan to promote the cooperation in the fields of technology through the cooperation model between Universities – Institutes - Enterprises of Vietnam and Taiwan.

At the end of the visit, HUP delegation signed four Memorandums of Understanding between Hanoi University of Pharmacy and Taipei Veterans General Hospital/ Taichung Veterans General Hospital/ Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital and National Yang Ming University, Taiwan in the exchange of cooperation and capacity building for teachers, researchers, HUP students; strengthening scientific research collaboration, thesis co-advisors, co-publishing international articles; developing double degree training program, contributing to the promotion of Vietnam's education to integrate and meet regional standards.

On July 21st, 2018, the delegation attended and had scientific orals at the Scientific Symposium "From Academic to Industry" before returning home.​
