Conference on Molecular and Cell Biology
Attending the conference, there were nearly 90 delegates. 25 of them were professors from the Korean Society of Molecular and Cell Biology (KSMCB), the remaining were lecturers, researchers, students, graduate students, undergraduate students, scientists on biology from Hanoi University of Pharmacy, research institutes, other universities in Hanoi.
After the opening speech of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Rector - Secretary of the Party Committee and Prof. Dr. Young-Joon Surh - President of Korea Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology, as well as an overview of biological research directions at Hanoi University of Pharmacy by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thanh Huong - Deputy Head of Department of Biochemistry. 24 oral presentations with the enthusiasm and experiences of professors from Korean universities and research institutes, gave delegates a new and updated approach on the various aspects of molecular and cellular biology. Besides, the poster presentations at the seminar also attracted to many delegates’ concern. After the oral section, there was a lively discussion, Q&A session with an abundance of opinions. Participants highly appreciated the quality of the expertise and the new approach to new issues in the field of molecular and cellular biology research of experienced professors from the universities of Korea Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology.
In the afternoon session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thi Thanh Hai, Vice-Rector, concluded the conference, appreciated the prospect of cooperation between HUP and KSMCB, and also emphasized some potential cooperation directions that might be feasible in the coming period.
After the official program of the conference, there were interviews for scholarships from professors of famous universities in Korea such as Keimyung University, Ajou University, Chung-Ang University, Kyungpook National University, Catholic University of Korea, Gachon University, Gwangju Academy of Science and Technology, who wish to gain the opportunities for excellent HUP students who dreaming to study in Korea.
