Scientific Conference for postgraduate students in 2013
On the 28th November 2013, a scientific conference for postgraduate students was held by Hanoi University of Pharmacy. Attending the conference were Asso. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Dang Hoa, Secretary of Party Committee – Rector, Asso. Prof., Dr. Thai Nguyen Hung Thu - Vice Rector and Asso. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Vice Rector as well as Professors, Asso. Professors, Doctors and representatives from the departments, divisions, centers, and postgraduate students of HUP.
On behalf of the university leaders, Asso. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Dang Hoa delivered an opening speech. Then, a report on the training achievements of postgraduate students in the period of 2012-2013 was delivered by Asso. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Song Ha, Head of Postgraduate Trainning Department. In this report, the advantages and disadvantages were highlighted when the university implemented the new regulations on PhD students training issued by Ministry of Education and Training. Last year, the university held the Thesis Defence Ceremony for 8 postgraduate students: 4 post graduation students at university level and 4 others at department level as well as rewarded Ph.D Certificate to 9 PhD. Currently, the university is managing 52 postgraduate students including 10 newly recruited in 2013.
In the 2nd part of the conference, the students presented reports on the contents and results which they have gained as well as the schedule to carry out their theses and the contents to be implemented in the next period at each specialty. There were 34 postgraduate students reporting at 5 specialty groups in the conference. The were 10 reports of Pharmaceutical Technology and Pharmaceutics group headed by Asso. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Dang Hoa, the President of the Council, 5 reports of Pharmacognosy - Traditional Medicine group headed by Prof. Dr. Pham Thanh Ky-Head of the Committee, 5 reports of Clinical Pharmacy- Biochemistry group headed by Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Kim Huyen - Head of the Committee, 5 reports of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drug Quality Control headed by Asso. Prof., Dr. Thai Nguyen Hung Thu-Head of the Committee,10 reports of Pharmaco-economygroup headed by Asso. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Head of the Committee. Especially, this year basing on a postgraduate student’s proposaland according to the Rector's approval, there was a reporter who was a postgraduate student from Traditional Medicine Department of Hanoi Medical University.
After a hard working day, the scientific conference 2013 closed at 4pm of the same day.
