Call for Applications to organize researcher link workshops.

The Researcher Links Workshop Programme offers opportunities for early-career researchers of Vietnam and the UK to meet and discuss academic matters during a period for three to five days in Vietnam. The workshop(s) is expected to expand the bilateral research collaboration networks, enhance research capacity of participants and discover contribution of the concerned research topic(s) in addressing development challenges in Vietnam. Teams of two leading researchers from Vietnam and the UK are invited to apply to be the workshop coordinators.​

​Each workshop is expected to expand bilateral research collaboration networks, enhance research capacity of participants and demonstrate the contribution of the research topic(s) in addressing development challenges in Vietnam. Two experienced researchers from Vietnam and the UK are invited to make a joint application to be the workshop coordinators.

1. Thematic priorities for Vietnam:

Environmental Protection and sustainable development (co-funded by the Vietnam Environmental Protection Fund)

- Adaptation to Climate Change

- Improving the resilience of the environment

- Environmental restoration

- Green Technology

- Renewable Energy

- Energy security

Other fields (Applicant Institute / University should be able to secure the in-country in-kind and/or in-cash match funding to organize the workshop)

- Health and Life Sciences

- Future cities

- Agriculture

- Digital Innovation for development

Proposals in the Chemical Sciences would also be welcome and, if selected, may be co-funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
