The signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement on training and scientific research between Hanoi University of Pharmacy and Vietnam Social Security.

In the afternoon of August 26th,
2020 at the Vietnam Social Security Headquarter located at No 7 Trang Thi street,
Vietnam Social Security and Hanoi
University of Pharmacy signed a bilateral cooperation agreement on training and
scientific research in the pharmaceutical field.This is a milestone confirming
the cooperation relationship as well as opening up many new development
opportunities between both sides.
Hosting the ceremony there was
Dr. Pham Luong Son-Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Insurance and
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Rector of Hanoi University of Pharmacy. Some representatives
from Hanoi University of Pharmacy and Vietnam Social Security were also
attending the ceremony.
Speaking at the signing
ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh said Hanoi University of Pharmacy is one
of the leading institution of whole country in training pharmacy, having functions
and duties of training as well as innovative research in the pharmaceutical
field which applied in practice, creating value for society. Currently, HUP has been reforming, building a development
strategy up to 2030, aiming to be a multi-disciplinary university,
research-oriented combined with practice. Hanoi University of Pharmacy with
deep expertise related to pharmaceuticals, drugs and medical equipment will
help staff of Viet Nam Social Security have a right look and assessment of drug use
and related equipment at health facilities to be safe for the patients and also
save cost for the health insurance fund.

General Director of Vietnam Social Security highly appreciated the results that
Hanoi University of Pharmacy has achieved recently and hoped the cooperation program between both
sides would be a breakthrough to help the social insurance to improve its
professional skills, especially meaningful for the team of examiners - the key
force in checking and reviewing drug use in health facilities nationwide,
aiming at contribution to effective protection of the health insurance fund.
In order for these contents to
be implemented soon, Dr. Pham Luong Son-Deputy General Director of Viet Nam Social
Security suggested that after the signing ceremony, the symposium meetings would
be conducted immediately to ensure prompt implementation, practicality following
the spirit of agreement. Vietnam Social Security and Hanoi University of Pharmacy would implement
the cooperation plan on training and scientific research, towards the
development of human resources for the pharmaceutical field and rational and
safe use of drugs. The content of training cooperation is the exchange of
lecturers and staff participating in teaching for undergraduate and
post-graduate students.
